- Bare Foot
- Traditional Orthotic
- Comfortor Footbed
This is an actual computer test of a runner taken at one of our Comfortor Foot Care Centre’s, shown at about 1/30th the normal speed. It demonstrates the comparison of motion of the foot (this foot belongs to a high arched foot type—who still pronate excessively ) as it steps across a pressure plate designed to capture the forces generated, first in the barefoot mode, the same foot with the individuals own “traditional” orthotic and lastly that foot wearing a prescriptive Comfortor Footbed (PRO).
Every foot has a certain amount of imbalance to it (seen in the barefoot mode as colors, red is high, Yellow is medium, & blue is low).
What you are seeing, is that the fluid is filling in the arch of the foot so that there is more contact surface of the foot on the floor, yet all the important “contact” points of the foot are also making contact and are “stable” on the floor.
In this way the fluid is “hydraulically” pushing and supporting the structure of the foot into proper biomechanical/alignment position. Additionally it provides extra shock absorption. With the Comfortor (PRO) Footbed, the foot is in its most efficient alignment (optimal position). Balance is regained throughout the entire lower extremity, reversing years of accumulated inflammation and pain in knees, hips and low back.
